Social Media Marketing Coordinator

This position supports the Resort's strategic marketing initiatives including digital and print advertising, website, electronic communications, social media campaigns and public relation activities.

This position will focus on the planning and execution of social media and digital marketing strategy to boost brand awareness, lead generation, and engagement. Scheduling, monitoring and responding to social media posts in conjunction with agency partners. Other responsibilities include, creation and distribution of electronic newsletter communications, content generation such as blogs and marketing content for print publications, coordination of photo shoots, updating property-wide digital communications systems (Screen Cloud) and website updates. A basic understanding e-commerce initiatives is a plus.

Excellent interpersonal skills, a self-starter and a "can do" attitude are essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented atmosphere and be highly organized. Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral, are required. This is an exciting position that offers the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of marketing programs. This individual reports to the Graphic Design Manager and General Manager.

Our marketing initiatives include projects for multiple beachfront resorts located in Southwest Florida including The Resort at Longboat Key Club which is comprised of a private membership club, a 226 room hotel, 6 dining outlets, a 9,000 square foot spa, comprehensive fitness center, Mind & Motion fitness studio, 45 holes of golf, an award winning tennis facility and a 291 slip marina.

General Accountabilities:

  • Plan and execute social media and digital marketing strategy to boost brand awareness, lead generation and engagement
  • Day-to-day management of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Collaborative strategy with onsite Marketing team and cross functional partners
  • Maintain and update property-wide digital communication system (Screen Cloud)
  • Coordinate content and delivers electronic newsletter communications
  • Assist with membership and resort marketing communications
  • Attend property events, etc., to capture content
  • Stay current with the latest social media best practices, technologies, social contests, engagement strategies and marketing trends

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline oriented and fast paced environment
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of print production and file preparation
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro)
  • Ability to generate social media campaigns and web content
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and incorporate critiques and feedback
  • College degree and 1-2 years' experience in social media marketing
