The purpose of the Director of Event /Catering Sales is to oversee all activities and responsibilities of the Event Planning Office and supervise the functioning activities that ultimately contribute to exceding our guest expectations. Essential Functions:

  • The Event/catering Sales Director targets and coordinates catering sales efforts of the Event and Catering Sales team. The job involves initiation and development of quality leads to ensure growth of catering sales. In addition managing Event/Catering Profitability through yielding and revenue management.

    The primary responsibility of the Event/catering Sales Director is to develop existing business and solicit new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing. The Event/Catering Sales Director solicits new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales programs.

    Other important duties include booking, selling, planning and coordinating all events while assuring the highest level of customer service. Generating revenue, establishing new accounts, monitoring booking space, booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high, conducting event/catering sales presentations and catering sales calls also falls under the purview of the event/catering sales director's job. The director will provide forecasting and proper statistical reporting on department operations to the Director of Food and Beverage. The director will be able to provide systems and efficiencies with in the Events/Catering Sales Department.   All while providing mentorship and direction to the catering/events sales team.

  • Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within Event/Catering Sales at a 5-Star resort or PRivate Club operation, coupled with a cmmitment to the hightest level of customer service. Strong leadership skills that includes a history of staff development. Strong detail orientation ,  organizational and communication skills.
